Using Minecraft Launcher
Using the Minecraft Launcher can be a bit more complex, but is possible.

This is already assuming you installed the Minecraft launcher and have logged in.
Installing Java
Already done
If you have already ran Minecraft before, this is probably already done for you.
Minecraft needs Java to run, and the version we will need is Java 21 to be exact. Click below to download the right installer for your system
After downloading, please open the installer and install it as you would with any other program.
Installing Fabric Modloader
Download the Fabric installer by clicking here. If you are on Windows, simply run the exe. If you are on Mac/Linux, run the jar file with Java.
Ensure you are in the Client tab, and select 1.20.5 for the Minecraft Version, 0.15.11 for the Loader Version, and enable Create Profile.
Click install and close once it is done.
Setting up the Mods
Head to your mods folder by going to the directory depending on your system.
- For Windows: Click
Rwhilst holdingCTRLon your keyboard. This will open up the Run window, and you will type%appdata%/.minecraft/ - For Mac: Head to the folder located at
~/Library/Application Support/minecraft - For Linux: Head to the folder located at
~/.minecraft
Open up the folder called "mods". If this folder does not exist, create a folder named mods.
Open this folder. This is where you will put all the mods into.
Download the latest mods we will use by clicking here
Extract all the mods into the mods folder. If you see an error saying the file already exists, overwrite the file.
You can now close this folder and go back to the Minecraft Launcher
Starting Minecraft
Now you can select fabric-loader-1.20.5 on the dropdown to the left of the PLAY button.
Click PLAY to start Minecraft.
When it loads up, you will see Welcome to Minecraft!, click Continue on the bottom.
Click Multiplayer. Tick the box for Do not show this screen again, and then click Proceed.
On the bottom, click Add Server
For Server Name, type in any name you'd like such as "Cisco Server"
For Server Address, type in cisco.nah-id.win
Click Done, and then double click on the server you just added.
Congratulations! You are now in the server! Have fun and do your assignments!
